Lok Paritran - A New Dawn?

What do four IITians, some also educated in the US and almost all of them from rural backgrounds have in common? Well, apparently they all have a rare spirit of patriotism and a passion to help this country move forward. I am talking about Tanmay Rajpurohit,Ashwalayan Shukla,Amit Beesen, and Chandrashekhar. These four guys are aeronautical and mechanical engineers who had a bright promising future ahead of them in some large American organisation with guaranteed fat pay cheques and a good house and a pretty wife. But instead they have chosen a different path for themselves.

These guys have created a political party called Lok Paritran. They have decided to contest the elections in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerala this year. They claim that lack of money will not be a hindrance in their election fight.

I don't know what will happen to this party in future but I will surely keep track of them.I hope that these guys actually have the best interests of the country in mind (can't help being a bit cynical in this world of deceivers) and that the country benefits.

This needs lot of guts !
And we need to appreciate that spirit which has ignored life's comforts for the sake of its country.
"a good house and a pretty wife" ??
Thought they were bachelors ;-)

I think money will play a important role..atleast to make urself known and also in making ur voice heard bit loud.

Political parties in this country are making use of 'Innocent' Indians to garner votes from them..the only reason is that "India has less educated people" and Indians believe what these parties "shout" at the election time. You and I may vote for Lokparitran, but not the less educated people(as they are the vote bank). The members of the party should succeed in convincing them.

Lokparitran has a real long way to go and patience is the real key for them.

By "a good house and a pretty wife" , I was referring to what they potentially missed out. When IIT grads go to the US, that's the least people expect them to get :). I don't know the actual facts though.

@ madhan
You may be right about money's importance. But we must appreciate the fact that these guys are extremely intelligent. They know their limitations and are hopefully smart enough to operate with the limited funds they have.
You said that educated ppl like us will vote for them.Maybe we should do a bit more than that if we really want to make a difference.

Intelligence and popularity are definitely not related. So we would have to wait and see.

Heard about this? They'd be using stream radio.
